Amanda Shields earned a B.A. in art conservation and art history from the University of Delaware in 2007 and is now pursuing a master’s degree in museum studies at Johns Hopkins University. She first joined CHF as the assistant image archivist responsible for maintaining the photographic collection and answering image requests. She was also a member of  the curatorial team for CHF’s ongoing exhibition, Making Modernity.   

Shields is now a program assistant in the Center for Contemporary History and Policy. She is currently working on processing and digitizing Gordon E. Moore’s archival papers from Intel Corporation. Shields also assists with other CCHP projects, including the coordination of Innovation Day. In addition to her CCHP work, Shields continues to address weekly her duties as image archivist.
