Climate and Energy

Turbines

The conservation of energy and the reduction of negative impacts concerning climate change are principal challenges for us all. Projects in this area explore the social, economic, and health dimensions relevant to energy and climate concerns. As our newest project area, future programming will seek to inform the interested public, bring meaningful historical cases to bear, and act as a communication node for participants in the decision-making processes.

Goals

  1. Develop historical and contemporary research projects related to climate or energy research at the intersection of society.
  2. Hold public events on pressing issues related to energy and climate change to develop critical discussions on social and policy concerns.
  3. Develop a local, engaged community.
  4. Reach out to other programs for areas of common interest.
