Issues in health and medicine are currently undergoing profound change. Projects in this area engage these issues, specifically to examine and explore the rapid development of biotechnologies and biomedicines and their integration with diverse communities, including those that are scientific, clinical, local, and corporate.
We live in an increasingly chemical world. However, many of the effects of chemical use are still being discovered. Projects in this area explore the pressing, universal issues surrounding chemical production and the subsequent risks to human and environmental health.
Equitable, socially and environmentally minded decision making is a key component in the creation of sustainable solutions. The projects in this area examine and explore the creation of regulatory regimes, especially their intersection with the larger public.
New and emerging technologies shape our world and the resources available to us. What issues can (and do) arise regarding their use?
